BREAKING: Matt McQuaid (Michigan State) will participate in the 2019 Professional Basketball Combine. In four seasons with the Spartans, McQuaid averaged 6.3 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.6 APG. As a freshman, he ranked fourth on the team in assists and played double digit minutes in 32 out of 35 games. As a sophomore, McQuaid averaged 5.6 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.2 APG. He started 11 out of the 34 games he appeared in and was named a co-recipient of MSU’s Best Defensive Player Award. As a junior, McQuaid averaged 6.0 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.3 APG. He was once again named co-recipient of MSU’s Best Defensive Player Award. He was also sixth on the team in scoring and third on the team in three-point field goals made. As a senior, McQuaid averaged 9.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG, and 2.1 APG. He was named to the Big Ten All-Defense Team and an Honorable Mention for the All-Big Ten Team.
