BREAKING: QJ Peterson (VMI), who averaged 19.6 ppg last season, to attend the PBC. Peterson has been a dynamic scorer ever since he arrived on campus. As a freshman, he averaged 19 ppg. He was named the 2013-14 State Rookie of the Year in Virginia as selected by the league sports information directors and voted to Big South All-Freshman squad. His sophomore year, he only played 18 games due to injury, but was leading the team in scoring average (19.6) when he got injured. The next year, Peterson was named All-Southern Conference Coaches Team and First Team (Media) and voted First Team All-State (VASID) after averaging 19.8 ppg. He scored a school record 46 points vs. Mercer, which also tied the most points in a D1 game during the year. His senior season, QJ averaged 19.6 ppg and 6.5 rpg.
