BREAKING: Marcus LoVett (St. John's) to Participate in the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine5/9/2018 BREAKING: Marcus LoVett (St. John’s) to participate in the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine Presented by HFactor. As a freshman with the Red Storm, LoVett played in 30 games (started 25) and averaged 15.9 PPG, 3.8 APG, 2.9 RPG, and 1.3 SPG while shooting 38.2% from 3pt range. In his 3rd game playing for St. John’s, LoVett dropped 31 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds against Minnesota. Against Xavier, the 6’0” guard put up a career high 32 points to go with 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. In a February match-up against #4 Villanova LoVett went for 23 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds. LoVett placed top 10 in the Big East in PPG, APG, and SPG as a Freshman, and as a result he was a unanimous selection to the Big East All-Freshman team. As a sophomore, LoVett averaged 14.9 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.1 SPG, and 1.7 APG in 7 games (7 started). His season was cut short with an MCL injury but he is back in action and ready to show teams what he can do at the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine.
