He averaged 11.4 ppg last year. Berry spent his first three collegiate seasons at Charleston. He redshirted his freshman year. As a redshirt freshman, he ranked third among all CAA freshman in scoring with 9.6 ppg and was named to the 2014 CAA All-Rookie Team and CAA All-Academic Team. As a sophomore, Barry started in every game and led the team in scoring with 12.5 ppg. He ranked 14th in scoring and 18th in rebounding (5.1) in the CAA. The following season, he averaged a conference-leading 19.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and was named CAA Player of the Week three times. After graduating from Charleston in 2016, Barry had one year of eligibility remaining and transferred to the University of Florida where he was named SEC Sixth Man of the Year. On the court, he scored 27 points in an overtime win vs. Georgia and scored 30 at Auburn the game after, which was the highest single-game scoring outputs by an SEC player off the bench this season. Off the court, Barry was named CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year, which is the the top academic honor in the country, along with first-team Academic All-America honors.
