BREAKING: Corey Davis Jr. (Houston) to Participate in 2019 Professional Basketball Combine4/29/2019 BREAKING: Corey Davis Jr. (Houston) will participate in the 2019 Professional Basketball Combine. Davis played at San Jacinto Junior College in his freshman and sophomore year. In his sophomore campaign, Davis was named an NJCAA All-American First-Team selection after scoring a team high 17.4 points per game with 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He then chose to play his junior and senior seasons at Houston. In his 2 seasons with the Cougars, Davis averaged 15.1 PPG, 3.2 RPG, and 2.6 APG. As a junior, he led the team with 103 3-pointers and a 42.9% 3-point field goal percentage. He also led the American Athletic Conference with 2.9 3-pointers per game and finished third in the league and 26th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage. Davis helped take Houston to the American Athletic Conference Tournament final where they lost to Cincinnati. He was named to the AAC All-Tournament Team. As a senior, Davis helped lead the Cougars to the AAC regular season title and the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament. He averaged 17.0 PPG, 3.3 RPG, and 2.8 APG for the season. In 3 NCAA Tournament games four Houston, Davis averaged 20.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 3.3 APG. He was named an American Athletic Conference First-Team All-Conference selection in his senior year.
