BREAKING: Jared Savage (Western Kentucky) has been selected as a 2020 Professional Basketball Combine honoree. In two seasons at Austin Peay and two seasons at Western Kentucky, the Bowling Green native accumulated 1,294 points, 612 rebounds, 148 assists, 130 steals, 60 blocks, and 10.9 win-shares.
Savage, who garnered All-C-USA Third Team and C-USA All-Defensive Team recognition this season, seamlessly fits the mold of a complementary 3-and-D wing, with a proven ability to make a significant impact in a low-usage role. He is an efficient shooter from two, three, and the free throw line, can guard multiple positions, hits the glass at an elite level for his size, and does a wide variety of small things that may not show up in the box score, but are crucial to winning.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, Savage inked a deal with G.S. Lavrio B.C. in HEBA A1 (first division Greece) and remains auto-eligible for the 2020 NBA Draft. He joins fellow American rookies Tyson Carter (Mississippi State), Alpha Diallo (Providence), and Dave Bell (Jacksonville), along with second year American import, Shizz Alston (Temple), to form an exciting young core in Lavrio. Savage is poised to continue to elevate his teammates as a young professional.
We are excited to welcome Jared Savage to the PBC family and look forward to all of his future success in professional basketball!
