BREAKING: Justin Simon (St. John’s) will participate in the 2019 Professional Basketball Combine. Simon spent one year at Arizona before transferring to St. John’s. In his three season college career, Simon averaged 8.9 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 3.1 APG. As a freshman at Arizona, he made 24 appearances and played 7.5 minutes per game. Simon then transferred to St. John’s where he sat out the 2016-17 season in compliance with NCAA transfer regulations. In his first season at St. John’s, Simon averaged 12.2 PPG, 7.1 RPG, and 5.1 APG. He led the team in rebounds per game, assists per game, and steals per game. That also put him second in assists and first in steals for his conference. As a redshirt junior, Simon averaged 10.4 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 3.2 APG. He was named Big East Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the third player in program history to win that honor. He also led the team in blocked shots and was second on the team in assists per game. We are excited to welcome Justin Simon to the 2019 PBC and look forward to seeing him compete!
