BREAKING: Nate Darling (Delaware) has been selected as a 2020 Professional Basketball Combine honoree. In two seasons at UAB and one season at Delaware, the Halifax, Nova Scotia native accumulated 1,081 points, 241 rebounds, 196 assists, 41 steals, and 18 blocks before submitting his name as a 2020 NBA Draft early entrant.
Darling, a First Team All-CAA Selection, is one of the top shooters in this year's draft class. A career 40+% shooter from deep on 450+ attempts, Darling has unlimited range, unwavering confidence, and well-rounded shooting versatility. Darling's gravitational pull on the defense is significantly impactful to fueling offensive efficiency, as teams must respect him from well beyond the three-point line as a spot-up shooter, pick-and-roll pull-up threat, and iso pull-up shot creator.
Not only is Darling a dynamic sniper, but he's also made tangible improvements in his ball-handling and decision-making, sharply declining his TOV% from 20.2% as as sophomore to 13.6% as a redshirt junior while taking on a more prominent role and increasing his USG% from 18.0% to 27.7%.
Darling and fellow 2020 PBC honoree, Isiaha Mike, are the two best Canadian prospects of this year's NBA Draft class, and both have promising careers ahead of them.
We are excited to welcome Nate Darling to the PBC family and look forward to all of his future success in professional basketball!
