BREAKING: Paul Scruggs (Xavier) will participate in the 2019 Professional Basketball Combine. In two seasons at Xavier, Scruggs averaged 8.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 2.6 APG. As a freshman, Scruggs averaged 4.9 PPG, 2.0 RPG, and 1.7 APG. He got better as the season went on, with three of his five double-figure scoring games coming in the last five games of the season. As a sophomore, Scruggs showed lots of improvement from the previous year. He averaged 12.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 3.3 APG. He started each of Xavier's 35 games, the only Musketeer who started every game and finished second on the team in scoring. Scruggs was also named to the Big East Conference Championship All-Tournament Team after averaging 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists for Xavier’s two tournament games.
