BREAKING: Ronshad Shabazz (Appalachian State) to Participate in Professional Basketball Combine5/10/2019 BREAKING: Ronshad Shabazz (Appalachian State) will participate in the 2019 Professional Basketball Combine. In four seasons with Appalachian State, Shabazz averaged 16.4 PPG, 3.2 RPG, and 2.2 APG. As a freshman, Shabazz averaged 11.9 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 1.5 APG. As a sophomore, Shabazz led the team in scoring and averaged 16.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 1.7 APG. As a junior, Shabazz averaged 18.5 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 3.0 APG and led the team in points, assists, and was second on the team in steals. He became the fifth player in program history to score 600 or more points in a season. Shabazz was named Second Team All-Sun Belt and NABC Second Team All-District. As a senior, Shabazz averaged 18.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG, and 2.3 APG. He once again led the team in scoring and assist. Shabazz was named All-Sun Belt for the third straight season, earning Second Team honors. He ended his career as an Appalachian State great ranking second all-time with 2,067 points. He also owns the program record for field goals made in a career with 712, ranks third in 3-pointers made (269) and is tied for third in games played (126).
