BREAKING: Saben Lee (Vanderbilt) Selected as 2020 Professional Basketball Combine Honoree10/22/2020 BREAKING: Saben Lee (Vanderbilt) has been selected as a 2020 Professional Basketball Combine honoree. In three seasons at Vanderbilt, the Phoenix native accumulated 1,338 points, 315 rebounds, 355 assists, 121 steals, 19 blocks, and 8.6 win-shares before submitting his name as a 2020 NBA Draft early entrant. Lee, a 2nd Team All-SEC selection, is a dynamic scorer, finishing 2nd in the conference in points produced this season. Lee eclipse the 30-point threshold on four occasions this season, including a career-high 38-point outburst in a victory at Alabama where he outdueled potential lottery pick, Kira Lewis Jr.
While only 6'2", Lee more than makes up for lack of size with explosive vertical athleticism and crafty finishing acumen. He is one of only two consensus top 100 prospects to take more than half of their FGA’s at the rim while converting at a 60+ RimFG% clip. His 24 dunks on the season rank 3rd in college basketball among players listed at 6'2" or shorter. With great burst, change-of-pace, iso creation chops, willingness to guard opponents' best perimeter threats, and an underrated ability to get his teammates involved (3rd highest AST% in the SEC at 31.9%), Lee is certainly an enticing 2nd Round / priority UDFA option that could add value to a number of teams. We are excited to welcome Saben Lee to the PBC family and look forward to all of his future success in professional basketball!
