BREAKING: Dikembe Dixson (UIC) to participate in the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine presented by HFactor. In his 3 years with the Flames, Dixson averaged 17.4 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 1.3 APG, and 1.3 SPG while starting in all 72 of his games. As a freshman, Dixson averaged an incredible 19.8 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 1.8 APG in a season that culminated in him unanimously earning Horizon League freshman of the year and a spot on the All-Horizon League second team. He also set the record for most points scored in a season by a freshman in Horizon League history. In a February matchup against Youngstown State, the 6’7” forward exploded for a career high 40 points as well as a career high 17 rebounds. Expectations were high for Dixson's sophomore campaign as he was named to the Julius Erving award watch list for top SF and named to the preseason All-Horizon League first team. Dixson lived up to expectations averaging 20.3 PPG, 6 RPG, and 1 APG while increasing his 3pt percentage to 36.7%. Unfortunately, Dixson suffered a season ending knee injury in a December game against DePaul, cutting his breakout sophomore season short. Coming into the 2017-2018 season expectations were again high as Dixson was tabbed as the preseason Horizon League Player of the Year and was named to the All-Horizon League first team. As a junior Dixson averaged 14.2 PPG, and 3.5 RPG and started in all 32 games. We are excited to welcome Dikembe to the 2018 PBC and look forward to seeing him compete!
