BREAKING: Johnathan Williams (Gonzaga) to Participate in the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine

BREAKING: Johnathan Williams (Gonzaga) to participate in the 2018 Professional Basketball Combine Presented by HFactor. Williams played his first two seasons at the University of Missouri before transferring to Gonzaga and sitting out the 2015-2016 season. In his first year with the Bulldogs, Williams averaged 10.2 PPG and 6.4 RPG (leading the team) in a season that saw him start in all 39 games. In the 2017 West Coast Conference championship Williams averaged 11 PPG, and 6.3 RPG on 56% shooting from the field, helping Gonzaga take home the WCC championship. In the 2017 NCAA tournament Williams averaged 10.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 1 BPG en route to a national championship game appearance. Williams best game came in an Elite Eight match-up against Xavier where he erupted for 19 points and 8 rebounds, powering the Bulldogs to the Final Four. As a result of his tournament performance Williams was named to the All-Region team (West Region).

Coming into the 2017-2018 season Williams was named to Wooden Award preseason watch list.  Against the University of Florida, Williams scorched the Gators for 39 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal while going 16-22 from the field. Williams had another 30 point game against Loyola Marymount Williams went for 30 points and 10 rebounds on 13-18 shooting. Williams had 15 double-doubles on the season, 5 of which came during the WCC tournament and NCAA tournament. In the 2018 WCC tournament Williams averaged 13.3 PPG, 11 RPG, 2 APG, 2 SPG, and 2 BPG to help lead Gonzaga to their 6th consecutive championship. In the 2018 NCAA tournament Williams averaged 12 PPG, 10.7 RPG and 1.3 APG, leading Gonzaga to a Sweet Sixteen appearance.
